About

As an Internet Entrepreneur I use tools and strategies to build my business and develop an online lifestyle. My focus is Creative Branding and Online Business Startups.

Without a great branding strategy you may be just another tree in the forest. Your site must somehow stand out from the others in some unique way. There are many ways to accomplish this task, but it all starts with a blog and the use of social media and related tools.

At Jimi Jones Dot Com, I assist you with understanding these strategies, while building your online dreams. I am more than happy to share the journey of building an online business with those who desire to do the same.

There are thousands of new bloggers entering the blogosphere and starting their journeys toward success each day. I am here to help them avoid some of the critical mistakes often made by those who have had no formal training in the art of blogging and social media usage.

I am a Found Member of the Beyond Blogging Project, where we collectively mastermind and develop strategies to move online businesses to the next level, helping others find success.

I started blogging in February of 2009 and have been trained by two of the best in the business, David Risley and Yaro Starak. This experience has allowed me to obtain a very well rounded blogging education.

If you are new to blogging or want to start a blog from the very beginning, I offer you my FREE Blogging For Business eCourse.  I would love to work with you and help you find the success that you desire.

The future is now

Computing has never been outside of my daily life since I first began using them in 1982.  I have seen many progressions and evolutions in this industry.

What is taking place today is a major shift in how the world views electronic media, and the opportunities for building a successful online business could not be better.

During times past I had up a few web sites, selling some products and raking in a some decent money, but today’s environment presents a totally different business model. One that, when applied properly, can lead to a sustainable 6-figure income for you and your family.

Be clear on this; there is no get-rich-quick or become a millionaire in 90 days available to anyone on the internet. Do NOT be misled by false and phony claims. But with hard work and dedication, you too can realize your dream lifestyle.

This will require your total dedication, patience and above all, you must take action on what you learn.

That is the purpose of this blog, to share the knowledge that I have obtained over my many years of online experience, enhancing and enriching the lives of those who want to build their businesses.

This will be accomplished in a no BS style, just the straight information required to move forward and closer to what we envision as success.

The internet is a vast and wonderful place, a place to be enjoyed and shared with others. Using common sense strategies and techniques, you can accomplish your goals and establish your path for the future.

Additional Background

I have always had a near insatiable appetite for knowledge and fell in love with computers in 1982. Soon after, learning to program them using languages like COBOL, RPG, ALC, FORTRAN and others. I soon found myself running a large mainframe computer system for a wholesale food distributorship that service around 500 super markets.

In 1985 I move on and accepted a job with NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope project, working in a data collection facility located on Johns Hopkins University Campus in Baltimore Maryland.

I began as a member of a team that tested proposals from astronomers and scientist who were vying for time allocations to use the telescope (HST) for research.

Some years later I applied for and was accepted for a position within the Facilities Management Department, a place we affectionately called FAC U. :-)

I became a Facilities Supervisor and eventually became the Facilities Manager.

17 years and many accomplishments later I left this project and decided to return to my entrepreneurial roots. At the time I was Vice-President of our Home Owners Association and became involved in the development of an 88 acre tract of land adjacent to our community.

After fighting off shady developers, the land was eventually purchased by the Baltimore County government. Because of my Facilities Management background, I was asked to assist with the layout of this park land so that the surrounding community’s wishes were met.

This led to yet another opportunity to serve as an Operations Manager for that facility, a position I still hold today.
