FutureOnlineBiz -650 2009 is behind us now the time has come to move on to more online production. This past year was fairly decent considering, but I am stoked about what lies ahead.

Leveraging what you know and converting that into information products will be as popular as ever during 2010. Sure the internet is full of ebooks and all sorts of information products already, but no worries. They did not stop printing books because the libraries were filling up. Information changes and the books of tomorrow have yet to be written.

More on that in future posts as we move forward.

As an Internet Entrepreneur, blogging and the use of social media are huge when it comes to building a brand. There are niches to be both created and claimed as blogging progresses through the next several years, so positioning yourself today can work to your benefit.

Blogging

2010 will be a great year to be a blogger as there are so many opportunities available to those who want to establish an online business.

There are those who say that it is already an overcrowded field with thousands of new bloggers coming online daily, but keep one thing in mind. You will not have to be better than everyone else, just better than most.

Blogging is the single most effective tool for online success. Without a blog or the knowledge of how to effectively operate one, you will struggle an uphill battle.

I will post a lot about blogging, social media and product creation as tools to success. New business strategies are developing as the older methods begin to melt away. Gone are the days when one could launch a blog,  place a sidebar full of banner ads and collect checks large enough to live on. While this approach is still effective under certain circumstances, it is not a sustainable business model from which you and your family can survive going forward.

You may have noticed that many of today’s writers are producing their own products. There is a very good reason for that beyond the obvious, and we will blog about that as we move ahead as well.

There is a new wave of pro bloggers on the horizon and you can join the ranks by taking action and positioning yourself in the marketplace.

Here’s to the hard work and success that lies ahead, and may 2010 and beyond be most productive for you.

I don’t get it. Isn’t the bottom line of blogging supposed to be fun? We should have fun doing this and at the same time work on improving our blog.

Making money is definitely something a lot of people are after but isn’t blogging to quit your day job something you should look forward to and not hate just because you’re not making any money right now?

Smart work and success will happen when action is taken and blogging is fun again. I love blogging am will eventually make money hopefully. We’ll see.

You are right, blogging is something that should be fun. Anyone blogging for monetary gain and is not enjoying this craft has simply created a job for themselves, which is totally different than building a business.

I totally enjoy blogging, mainly because of the friendships developed, but also because I know I am building my onlines businesses as well.

The thing is to not have the blog for money mindset, but rather, blog because you enjoy helping others and networking. When you take this approach and follow a strategic business plan, the opportunities to monetize will come.

This is what many new bloggers do not seem to grasp, they start off with nothing but money as a motivator, then become disenchanted after a few months when they have not made any. It is the wrong approach. To make money you have to build relationships and use marketing skills. Provide real value and assistance to people first. A blog is simply a tool that is part of a larger plan.
