The craft of blogging is an alliance, a gathering of like-minded people who share a common goal. Every blogger wants to reach the highest levels of success, but to do so one must see the larger picture which is that of the entire blogging community.
As a member of such a community reaching out to others, encouraging communication and lending a helping hand when needed is simply an extension of our everyday offline lives. This is something that comes naturally for most, while others may struggle with this.
The truth of the matter is that we have a responsibility to reach out to others. No one can blog in a vacuum and find any level of happiness or success.
One of the things I make a point of as a blogger is visiting as many sites weekly as I can. Many are daily hangouts where I have become a regular reader. But it is not just about the content; it is the interactions with friends, the sharing of stories and laughs that make the experience a wonderful part of my online life.
In my Week in Review series, I highlight some of the many stops along the internet. Places and people that I have enjoyed sharing some time with and have appreciated their work and their efforts. What really stands out however, beyond the great content produced, is how other bloggers interact with readers and visitors. Many are absolutely great at this.
One such example of a blogger reaching out to help his fellow bloggers is that of my friend Robert Bravery at Integral Web Solutions.
Robert has established a Blog Directory for Bloggers, just another way of him showing his willingness to help fellow bloggers. Since I have known Robert, he has consistently contributed to the blogging community and his readers in an effort to make things better, and for that we owe him a big THANK YOU!
So swing by his site and say Hello, I am sure he will welcome you and be happy that you visited.
Keep Blogging!
