I installed the Twitterberry upgrade “Open Beak” recently on my Blackberry Bold and viewed it as little more than a routine upgrade, so I really did not have large expectations about how it would perform. I left Twitterberry on the phone as well, in case I did not like the upgrade (you know how that can be).
It was recommended that you first delete Twitterberry and reboot your hand-held, but I was having none of that, what else would they say?
Anyhow, I am really pleased with the performance after several days of heavy usage.
What’s to like?
Installation – A breeze
Search feature – Previously unavailable
Speed – Faster than Twitterberry
Navigation – Easy
Ability to reply to Tweets from any timeline view
Cache all avatars to internal memory which reduces interaction with the network
#hashtag and @username recognition
The developers of Orangatame Software have done a nice job here and should be commended.
For more features and an overview visit the Open Beak Product page.
It appears that ALL Blackberry models are covered with this upgrade.
If you are using a Blackberry and would like to get the upgrade for yourself, go to the Open Beak download page.
So what happened to that older version of Twitterberry I kept in place?
History baby!
