I have compiled the results of the recent Reader Survey and present them for your review. Again, a big THANK YOU to everyone for participating. This will help us all build this community into what we would like it to become. You have done your part and now I will do my best to uphold my end of the bargain. 
The following questions were asked and the results are shown below each.
1. How long have you been blogging?
The majority of the respondents have been blogging more than one year, with a fairly even split among those blogging less than and greater than 6 months.
2. What is your blog’s purpose?
No surprise here, most bloggers are online for business purposes.
3. What will make you a better blogger or business operator at this point in your career?
As you might imagine, there was a broad response to this broad question. I’ll list some of the responses below.
- Continue to grow and learn with greater planning.
- More experience needed on equipment like cameras, computers, software, etc.
- Time management, more time needed.
- Learning via printed materials, e-books, etc.
- Continued networking with other bloggers committed to succeeding.
- Provide more value to my readers.
- Become more organized, manage time better.
- Become more consistent.
- Improved writing skills.
- Practice
These are just some of the responses and I have paraphrased them, but most were along similar lines. Nearly everyone wants to find more time for instance, and that is certainly doable, but may require some restructuring of your lifestyle.
4. How can I help you advance toward your goals?
- Provide shortcuts and ways to do more with less time.
- Keep doing what you are doing
- Tips on increasing exposure and traffic.
- Guest post for me.
- Keep the quality advice coming.
- Share the survey results.
- Help with my writing style.
- Comment and promote bloggers’ posts.
- A video chat and a Q & A session.
- More tutorials and how-to posts.
5. Select your method of content delivery
Respondents to this survey overwhelmingly chose text as the preferred method with video coming in second. Some chose all of the above while others chose 1 or 2 methods. Multiple choice answers can cause your overall percentages to exceed 100, but I ran the numbers to have the overage fall into the proper categories.
6. Questions & Comments
A few questions first
- Why didn’t you include a field for the “Name” so you would know who did the survey? – This was intentionally omitted because I wanted participants to speak freely and not have that as any type of influence upon what they may want to say, good, bad, or indifferent.
- Will you continue to write tutorials? – Yes. I only plan to enhance what I have been offering.
- How long you been using computers? – Since around 1982 or 1983, I forget as I write this but let’s just say it’s been quite a few weekends now.
- Are you going to write stuff for regular bloggers and not just business stuff? – The content I plan to supply will include tips and techniques that any blogger can use to help their experience. I do not want anyone to feel excluded or overlooked. In fact, there is a post HERE where I have started a discussion about that very topic.

I really appreciate the positive comments left by all of the participants, and there were quite a few, but I find it difficult to list them all here, so if yours is not listed, do know that I am grateful for it.
