Hosting Services

  • HostGator: I use HostGator for many of my sites and they are a company with outstanding support and their service is easy to use.  I would rate them among the best in the business.
  • Bluehost: Many of my associates and colleagues use Bluehost and rate them very well, so they come highly recommended by some of the top bloggers in the industry.
  • Amazon S3:  Amazon S3 is storage for the Internet. It is designed to make web-scale computing easier for developers. A great place to store video, podcast and other very large file, which saves you from excessive use of your hosting bandwidth, which could lead to problems.

Blogging Platforms

  • WordPress.com: This is the # 1 blogging platform on the planet. The software is free and highly customizable. There is an extensive support system to handle any and all issues related to WordPress blogs.
  • WordPress.org: This state-of-the-art publishing platform is used by bloggers who are self-hosted. In other word, they completely own their sites and pay a fee for hosting services, as opposed to the free version above.

Natty WP provides both free and premium WordPress themes.

Email Subscription Services

Aweber: This is by far the industry leader for email opt-in, marketing and broadcasting services. There are others on the market that I have heard favorable feedback on, but I know this company well and it is the only one that I have used. They are # 1 in the industry for a reason.
