My friend Mike Cliffe-Jones, known to many as @MikeCJ recently wrote a case study on he and his wife’s information business located on the island of Lanzarote Spain, where they happily live.
Lanzarote is the easternmost of the Canary islands sitting off the coast of Africa in the Atlantic ocean.
I was fortunate enough to receive a copy from Mike practically as soon as the ink dried and was happy to get it. It is a 20 page ebook that explains the business progressions of a blog site that is now a little more than one year old, but is producing a full-time income for the family.
The case study provides a really nice insight into some of the strategies employed and explains how and why some worked, while others did not.
While reading, one gets the impression that Lanzarote, like so many islands around the globe, has a very unique culture and way of life. But given that, the one universal message that comes through is that hard work is what it takes to succeed in business no matter the location.
The ebook is written in a chronological fashion, even providing a quick read section for those pressed for time.
I found the real value within by reading the actual strategies and techniques used to build this business to what it has become today. Mike takes you through the entire year of growth and explains what they did to gain the level of success they have achieved in one year.
It is a quick read so I will not give away too much here, but many of these business strategies can easily be employed by other bloggers by simply tailoring the techniques to individual situations.
The future is quite bright for Lanzarote Information and it serves as proof that through hard work and perseverance, you can build a successful online business that pays a sustainable income.
