IMAutomator – A Social Bookmarking Tool That Delivers

by Jimi Jones

For many months now I have been using a free social bookmarking tool called IMAutomator, a creation by one of my favorite bloggers, Caroline Middlebrook.

The tool is so easy to use and saves you so much time, it leaves you wondering how this can be free. Well that may not last much longer as Caroline plans to offer a Pro Version (paid) at some point in the future, so I recommend that you get on over to IMAutomator and sign up now.

I signed up when it was first privately offered (December 09) and got one of the 50 limited memberships for this beta product.

Here’s how it works; you sign up and establish an account (free).

  • Enter the member’s area and submit your article by entering the url.
  • Give the article a title.
  • Provide a short description.
  • Enter your keywords.
  • Choose the number of days the submission campaign will run.
  • Submit

You’re done! Now how easy is that?

The benefits

Many backlinks from a single submission, woohoo!

Your article is submitted to about 33 bookmarking sites over a period of time that you select. There are 3 options, all in one day, one per day, or one every few days. I prefer the one per day method which just seems natural to me.

Caroline plans to expand the system’s bookmarking site listing to around 50 or more at some point.

You will get free backlinks from these sites, and everyone knows the importance of building backlinks to your site.

But here is the greatest benefit of all for me; you do not have to sign up and submit your articles to individual bookmarking sites, a HUGE time saver for what was once a tedious task. The tool eliminates that burden and automates the process for you.

Wrap up

If you are not using this tool, you should head on over to IMAutomator and check it out for yourself. Adding this to your internet marketing toolbox will only help your efforts.

I think Caroline has done a really nice job on this and should be recognized for her efforts. I’ve learned quite a bit from her, but that’s another story for another post. :-)

Head on over and start your backlink building campaign today.

Keep Blogging!

Esxcellent. I actually thought of writting something like this myself. But if it is already there, I don't want to reinvent the wheel

You could still write one, Robert.
Add some feature not available on any other.

Hounds of Hades, if that works as wlel as you say it does – and I don't doubt you – this is one heck of a tool. I've just signed up and will look forward to seeing how it goes. After two recent bouts of downtime I need to get all the help with rankings I can.

I've been getting traffic from places I've never heard of. LOL
No floods, but I can tell that it's working by looking at the stats and where the traffic has originated.

Well I'm in the process of writing one similar. Something like a Digg, but it also posts updates to Twitter, Friendfeed, etc.
Maybe I should pick up the pace and get it finnished.

    That sounds great, man.
People love tools and automation so something like that would likely have a very good chance of succeeding. Add me to the testers list. ;-)

    Wow, nice find!
I hadn't heard of this before and I sure like that you don't have to create any accounts!

    Hi ShaneRQR.
You do have to create an account but it's free. Eventually, as I understand it, there will be a free version and a premium version of this tool.

I just tried it out before. I certainly have no problem with having to register for an account first. :)
What I was referring to is that you don't have to create accounts with all of the bookmarking sites. That's something you normally have to do with tools like this.

I'm looking forward to the premium version.

    Oops, my bad. :-)
Correct, the fact that we don't have to setup all of those darn accounts is the real beauty of this thing.

Many thanks for the plug Jimi! The Pro version is due around June time and will come with a brand new submission tool. There will always be a free version available though this will only include the current social bookmarking tool and will not submit to as many sites as the Pro version so yes, take advantage now while you get full functionality for free ;-)

I'm quickly impressed with IMAutomator – within hours I was able to _confirm_ some live back-links were already built. For Apple Mac SEO's we need more online, web-based site submission tools like this which work well in Safari (or any other browser for OSX) since we often lack VMware or Parallels to run Windows apps to help with submissions.

    Back-links in hours… that's always a winner. :-)
